For the wait listed person who just got into Medill: Did they offer you a spot for this summer or next summer? I'm still wait listed there and itching to get in (got rejected from NYU) :(

just got off the waitlist at medill today and was offered a guaranteed spot starting in the summer (fall could still be a possibility, but that's another 2 weeks before confirmation). but the main question is this: NYU or Northwestern?? anybody with advice, please post.

anyone declining?? please post!

I only got the notification after calling and emailing the admissions department. They said all decision emails have already been sent out (as of mid-day yesterday), but I didn't get mine until I asked!

I'm still waiting to hear on my application to the MA science concentration — has anyone gotten a decision on MA admissions?

no funding

I applied to the Stabile Investigative program but the e-mail didn't mention either acceptance or rejection. Anybody hear about that?

I'm am American living abroad with a B.A in political science from a private liberal arts college in the mid-west. Waitlisted at Medill so I wasn't expecting to get in at Columbia. Woo Hoo. Here's to hoping for financial aid.

Here & Medill, but no word on funding. Also UMD, where assistantships seem easy to come by.

"We received an unprecedented number of qualified applicants this year and although we cannot offer you a place at this time, the Committee was very impressed with your abilities and would like to offer you a spot on the waiting list" Good??

does anyone know how many people applied and were accepted to the broadcast program? just curious about numbers...thanks!

Called them Monday, they said funding information for accepted folks will be out next week apparently. Hope this helps. You might want to drop them a line to ask for more information. And I am accepted into the New Media concentration.

told there were more than 400 applicants to the magazine concentration and only 60 acceptances

International student here; have not heard from Columbia either today (so far) or yesterday. Wondering whether all emails will be sent out today or will some acceptances/rejections/waitlists sent later. I was waitlisted last year and have reapplied this year.

i applied to the most competitive program :(

Has anyone heard anything about funding?
