And I've got a virus on top of it all! Hell yeah!

No email, checked portal

Thank you to the poster below, now I know for sure! No email or anything. I figured it was a no.

the only reason I checked was because I saw here on GradCafe that they'd provided notifications on their website. Rutgers didn't even have the courtesy to send me an e-mail advising me to check their website. I have other acceptances so this doesn't hurt much, but it definitely gives an impression of discourtesy on their part.

Rejected without even so much of an email updating me on the decision. Keep it classy, Rutgers

To the post below about Rutgers: Hi! I emailed them a while ago and I've been informed that “they will be contacting students this week”, yet I am not sure they would abide by their word. This is at least what I know. I wish you best of the luck as we all go through the process that is really annoying and tough as such!

This is not spam, so please do not mark it as such. Has anyone heard from Rutgers? It seems as though, in years past, applicants had been notified by now.

Already declined the offer. Good luck to those in the waitlist!

20th/21st Century American Lit, Phone call from Andrew Goldstone. Best of luck to all awaiting results!

Truly one of the kindest and most enthusiastic acceptance emails I've gotten so far this season. Since this news came in during the weekend (today's a Saturday), I'm setting up a time to talk with them over the phone on Monday. Couldn't be more thrilled!!!

first (and there’s a pretty good chance that it’ll be my only) acceptance – proof that there’s a good amount of randomness in this process.

Just got off of the loveliest phone call. I couldn’t be more thrilled.

I'm beyond amazed. I went into this process fully preparing to be shut out and have now just received my fourth top 20 acceptance. Somebody wake me up?
