An Unofficial Admission sent by POI.

GPA is graduate. Got an email to the application portal. Very impersonal rejection

Email that status has changed, accepted on website. No funding info listed yet that I can see.

Portal changed application to MA, solicited & got response that I'm rejected for PhD but accepted for MA

Double major Physics, Astronomy / 3.6 GPA / no GRE scores submitted / "Of the nearly 400 applications we received, you were in the top 1/6 [...] we strongly urge you to apply again for a future round of admissions to the APS department."

Very upset!

Via email to check portal. I was not interviewed.

Email from POI saying, said I would get an official letter on Friday.

TTPB, are you comfortable sharing which PI said they would likely not receive funding? Thank you!

1a/0w/1r out of three applications. 5 years of research (2 psychology labs, 1 molecular biology/neuroscience). 95th/91st percentile GRE. 1 first authorship. Disappointed but understandable that it just wasn't enough to make up for my 3.2 GPA. Good luck to the other applicants!

Email to check portal for status update. Did not receive an interview so not surprised, but bummed as I had a really good prelim talk with my PI before applying and he said I would be a great fit. :/ oh well

Automatic email. My POI said she likely wouldn't get funding this year so I'm not shocked.

not shocked at all since its been radio silence until now. email to check the portal with the generic rejection letter.

Generic rejection letter in portal.

Got an email to check portal. Did not interview here

Note to check application portal, generic rejection note. I did not receive an interview.
