Applied to the Phd, accepted to the MA. No funding.

Attempted to call the grad admissions but the girl was incredibly short with me on the phone and without looking my application or getting my name told me I was rejected. Has anyone else heard from this school?

Called grad admissions who let me know that acceptances and waitlisted students were already notified.

I got an email from the graduate coordinator saying that I was accepted.

Emailed them on Wednesday (March 6th) and got this email back on Friday (March 8th) still have heard nothing from them: "The faculty met last Friday to decide which applicants will be accepted into the program. The first round of offers will be going out on Monday and as we receive acceptances the department will start to notify students of their status. We hope to be finished with all decisions by April 15, 2019."

To the poster who just asked: there are four spots and those individuals have been notified. They have a few weeks to accept/decline before Rutgers will go down the waitlist. Basically, everyone is on the "waitlist" as no one has yet been rejected. We do not know where we are on this "waitlist." Anyone (including myself) who has posted about being "waitlisted" has emailed the DGS. If you have not heard back yet, you were not accepted in the first round and have to wait to see if spots open up. That's all we know.
