Last program I was waiting to hear from. I had to call them up to check my application status (no letter and wasn't updated online). Anyway: 7a/0w/5r. Happy with those stats. Better than I was expecting tbh, so I'm feeling pretty encouraged. Good luck to everyone!

Was waitlisted 2/17 via mail, notified today that there wasn't room for me this year.

Is anyone still deciding about UA for fiction? Still currently on the wait list (I believe) and going a little crazy with the uncertainty!! Please finalize your decisions!

Accepted off the waitlist, no more funding available but I can't imagine passing on this opportunity. They're pressing for decisions to be made quickly so those of you waiting for a final word, you should hear soon!

Accepted for admission, on the waitlist for funding. They're making the decisions last week. So weird I had definitely written them off considering it is 4 PM on April 15th.

If you got an email from VT stating that you are at "the top" of the waitlist and will be offered an additional spot if it opens.....at least 5 fiction writers have reported getting this email on the draft. Just don't want folks to really throw their hopes into this chance, since it really is a bit misleading.

FYI to others who were on the fiction wait-list - I just called in and was informed that all final acceptances have been made.

I called yesterday to ask about when they'd be sending notices, and received word that they had "over 100" applicants this year so the process has taken longer than possible. I'm kind of just assuming it'll be a no at this point. Pretty crazy and ridiculous they're giving people 1 day or less to get their decisions in by the April 15th date.

If you haven't heard back, email mfaunlv at unlv dot Nevada dot edu to find out of you got in. They don't send out rejection letters until later in the month. Not the most courteous thing to do, if you ask me.
