I had a lot of very relevant professional experience (3 years work exp in online behavior and internet policy research). But, my GPA was not above 3.7, so I am assuming that's why I got rejected.

Probably not going..

They did not require GRE. Don't take it if you're only considering MSW

I interviewed on 03/01. I was notified on 03/09 to schedule a zoom call with the PhD Chair. Met with them on 03/10 through zoom where they told me of my offer of admission. I am a current MSW student at this university and have met with the specific professors related to my research prior and during the process. Program is stated to be student collaborative focused. (7 applied/ 4 rejects/ 2 awaiting decision/ 1 offer of admission)

*IGNORE WAITLIST* Has anyone heard from this program or any insight on when will there be updates?

International student with 35% merit-scholarships. May I ask if the scholarship of this amount is too small? I don't know if it is my ability or NSSR's funds have decreased after the pandemic. I heard that the scholarships given a few years ago were around 50%.

Did not get back for a while so emailed the Director who told me I was placed on a short waiting list.

Apparently the first round of admits already went out- looks like I'll be waitlisted/ rejected. 1+ yr direct experience.

IGNORE INTERVIEW! What is going on with the NSSR PhD program? I saw PhD rejcections and MA acceptances but did not get any response myself. Does anyone know anything? This is my top choice despite having an offer from a higher ranked school.

Waitlisted on 2/28. Top choice program. Please decline your offer if you no longer intended to go there. Thanks so much!

Received an email with notification of acceptance for Summer 2023

Applied for the Atlantic Fellowship (only 9 seats)
