I am one of the best CS students of my school. Two research papers in preparation. Two very strong letter of recommendation (one by a teacher from Germany and one from the head of the CS department of my school) Competitive programmer. Still no answer from ESOP (but I submitted a really well thought thesis proposition so I think I have my chances).

Form rejection. They accepted fewer than 10 applicants this year.

Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering degree from #3 university in country, with a minor in Biomedical Engineering. Strong biotech curriculum, a few graduate pharma/tissue engineering courses. 3 years of research experience, 3 years on-campus employment, 2.5 years of off campus employment. 2 Strong letters of recommendation + 1 ok.
