Has anyone’s MMath CS application been shifted to MDSAI yet? They said the change will be done by 18th but it’s alres 19th. Anyone in the same boat as me?

Its 15th where I live. I still haven't heard back from the Uni. I think I am not gonna bother checking quest portal from now on, given that it is a reject for sure! SEND OUT THE REJECT MAIL AT THE VERY LEAST!

After emailing the Admissions department twice, I got a generic reply after 10 days - Hello *****. Your application remains under review at this time. We are doing what we can to expedite the applications process and expect to have final decisions for Fall 2019 out shortly. You are encouraged to check your applicant Quest periodically for the final decision as this office cannot provide this information.

TTPB (living in Canada and getting the wedgie from the uni all the same): I've been getting that exact same response from March. Nothing new. I guess we're done T_T

Has anyone been able to switch to the MDSAI program? Mailed them thrice and got no response

Canadian Applicant, UWaterloo undergrad in CS, applied in December 2018 and still not hearing anything from UWaterloo. Emailed them today and received a generic response :/ Thank you for your email. We have a large volume of applications for Fall 2019 and the admissions committee is currently working through them. We understand your concerns, and we appreciate your patience during this busy time. Generally decisions can take anywhere between 3 to 4 months, and updates are not provided to applicants until a decision has been made. It is possible for a decision to be made sooner than the approximate period stated but, if Quest has not been updated with a decision yet it means that your application is still in review. Please check your account regularly for an update. Thank you, Computer Science Graduate Office

This is ridiculous! Why can't they just let all the rejects know they have been rejected in one go? I have been looking at the portal only to see "No decision has been made yet" for the 1000th time. I'm assuming I'll get rejected as I did not contact any professors before applying since it was not mandatory, but I just can't be at peace with it because they just won't confirm!

TTPB (Much below): I mailed the department. I DID get a reply. They said they'll be done with the process before the end of April (I asked on Mar 21 or sth). Which is such a vague deadline!! (Literally, all admissions are done by April!). They charge a premium for the application as well. I bet they gave out all the admits and are only waiting on sending out the mail for mass rejects.

To the poster below: did you apply for course work or thesis?

Anyone else who didn't receive any information from graduate school regarding MDSAI? Many people got that email to consider their application for MDSAI. I haven't. ANYONE else in the same boat?

To the poster below, I emailed graduate applications on 2nd April asking when will the results released. They replied the very next day with 'Your inquiry has been forwarded to the academic department for their direct response.'. Never received any reply back from the academic department till date. So I agree, it's definitely outrageous. We have paid a lot of application fee, at least give us the services in return. Currently, I feel, they have rolled out all the acceptances and the remaining are either rejected or wait listed. So they are just keeping us hanging until there class is full. But this is just my opinion.

I applied in December, still have not heard back from the Uni. What the hell??? Just send out the reject at the very least, taking this long is completely outrageous!
