Has anyone heard anything about Masters admits? Kindly share any relevant info as to how long will they take for sending out masters rejections/admits. Response to my last query said they would release it by 21 March but still no updates..

Got an email to check decision letter on application portal.

4 years of experience as a design engineer, 3.0 undergrad GPA, and did not submit GRE scores. Really good program, but I declined the offer for another institution that I think will be a better fit.

TTPB: It'll take time for the portal to be updated. The application portal is maintained by the Graduate School. The decisions were sent out by the CS department.

CS Theory group. Got the regular 2448$*9 months assistantship + 8000$ fellowship. Very likely will accept. 6 papers in theory/theoretical ML. ACM ICPC bronze medal (top 10 finalist).

Contacted by a PI not mentioned in the SOP. Had an interview and received an offer from PI. He mentioned that I should get the official letter in a couple of days. Area: AI/ML

Standard rejection email. Kind of expected at this point.

Admission and full funding confirmed by PI.

Got a generic reject email on 16th March. The content reads that I have been rejected for the program while I applied for MCS. It looks like a placeholder. Also, my status on the application portal still says “Awaiting Decision”. Anyone else in the same boat?

International Student from a Tier 3 University in India. 8 publications including 2 from AAAI, 2 from EMNLP and 1 from CVPR. Google Summer of Code student in the past and mentor for 2 years. 3 internships in top AI Silicon Valley startups. 3 strong LORs including one from Head of Department and one from GSoC mentor at DeepMind. Not sure what I did wrong

Email from my POI that I should be receiving an official offer from the department. Had interviews with the POI and doctoral students in late February. The graduate admissions office also informed me that I'll be admitted with a five-year funding guarantee. I will accept the offer. Best of luck to those who are waiting.

Professional Master of Computer Science. US Military veteran. UC Berkeley non-STEM grad. (**Did not expect I would be accepted. I guess my military background and brand name of my undergrad school help)

Worked with a UIUC prof for 1.5 years -- ended up writing top-tier paper without any help of MS/PhD students. Still rejected. POI emails me to do more work the same day I get the email. A**hole. UIUC can go fu*k itself.

Expected. Unsure what more a Master's applicant with little access to the research world can do. Being in a third world country where no research is done really puts me at a huge disadvantage.

at this point i don't even need to read the e-mail to feel the disappointment wrapped in it.
