Got an email from Student Services Manager that I wasn't approved for either PhD or Master's (Computational Social Policy track). Not surprised for PhD, but was hoping to at least be considered for Master's. Oh well. Congrats to everyone who got accepted and good luck to everyone!

TPB: what concentration?

3 years of work experience (one of FLAG) and 2 year being the tech lead of the team. Stanford master in cs and ms&e. 5 strong letters from stanford faculties.

TPB: That is likely as well. It appears that not all specializations have called for transcripts yet. Good luck everyone!!!!!

TBP: agree on your assumption, but every concentration might have a separate process. So far it seems the only applicants that have received request for transcripts are those that are tied to the policy or healthy policy track. Is this correct? are there any other concentrations that have heard anything from the department? good luck to all!

TTPB: According to their website, transcripts requests are sent out to "finalists". So, a call for transcripts likely does not mean acceptance but suggests improved likelihood. It is my conjecture that if others in your specialization have received transcript calls and you have not, it is an implicit rejection. Most decisions by the department seem to have been made early/mid March in previous years. I am waiting to hear from them as well.

TPB: I applied for stochastics and optimization track as well. So far heard nothing from Stanford. Does this mean an implicit reject or they are still processing the applications? Can anyone contact Stanford and see how it goes?

Has anyone heard ANYTHING from Management Science & Engineering department? if so, what concentration? thank you!

TPB: my concentration is health modeling. Also related to policy though. It says the decisions will be released after receiving the transcripts. I guess it might differ across concentrations. Good luck!

To those who got Saturday transcript emails - was it a generic department email? or did it seem specific to a specialty? from who? please share specialty, international status, or any other relevant information. thank you!!!
