TTPB: I am unsure specifically how Northwestern's Political Science program handles things, but in my experience it is not uncommon for PI's to reach out to applicants personally for a chat/interview (even if the program doesn't *officially* interview applicants). For example, in December I was interviewed by a faculty member (at a different university) despite that program explicitly stating that there are no interviews throughout the application process. | ||||

For those who believed the claim of interview with Ian Hurd, here is the message I received : "we have not yet sent out ANY decisions, and we do not invite students for interviews before or after admission. We're in the process of reviewing files; we expect that all decisions will be out before the end of February." I honestly feel pity for people who come here and just post spam. Thanks. | ||||
