I emailed the department about 2 weeks ago for an update on my application, they told me I was rejected THEN they spent $0.51 just to postage me a rejection letter

IGNORE WAIT LIST. No answer yet too.

Waitlisted, honestly very surprising given my fit for the project. Selfishly hoping the student who got the offer declines as this is the only project im interested in and applied to.

:(

I got an email today from my PI asking to Zoom. They told me they're recommending me for admission! The official offer should be in my email next week. I am positively elated! (GPA is master's)

I was contacted by the dean of graduate school via email to notify me of my acceptance into the institution. Nothing was mentioned about funding but I was told to contact my program coordinator for further directives.

To the Baylor PhD Geology poster, please what's your GPA and when did you apply, am yet to get an update on my application status.

Admission came with full funding TA

No GRE score, MA in a related field, lots of research and field experience. I was offered a tuition waiver, 80% health insurance coverage, and full funding for 5 years.

A very generic email was sent to everyone. Not pained that I didn't get in, my research interest isn't well knitted with Professor's Interest.

So happy to receive my first offer!!! More to come!!
