Ttpb: That sounds really strange. Why they dont even interview/reject/accept strong candidates for 2 months? POI said me that he is happy to work with me, but I am waitlisted. It is the best shot I have, so I am waiting.

I applied about 2 months ago and still have not get an interview yet. I emailed asking the AO if they have rejected me already and the answer is no. They told me I am a strong candidate but still need to wait patiently for another two weeks. TBH I don't know what are they doing over the past months. I have already been admitted to better places but just want to see how this one ends, so far it's been not very pleasing. I'm gonna have to withdraw when April 15th hits.

TTPB My area is ML and the interview was okay imo. Do you have any information when they will send out emails to dphil applicants?

Just received an email saying I am waitlisted. Is anyone in a similar position?

I applied before the January deadline and didn't have an interview. I had very high Computer Science course grades, but my Mathematics courses weren't so brilliant (Most of them were B's and there were even two C's). I had lead-authorship in a conference publication, a co-authored pending journal publication, many research projects, teaching experience, professional experience, many area-related competition awards, and social accomplishments.

Did anyone who applied for DPhil in March deadline receive a notification?

Submitted application on the March deadline, was interviewed on the 31st of March (one of the post below), received offer today (i.e. one week later) :)

Interviewed in February, waiting for the final decision

Notified through email that I was offered admission, applied for March deadline, no interview requested.

The interview was okay, the guy was really nice and asked questions about my projects and internships (that I had mentioned in my personal statement). Some technical questions in CS also, quite classical though.
