Submitted application over Thanksgiving break. App deadline was Dec. 1st. Emailed by the professor I stated I would like to work with, asking to schedule an interview. Told in the interview that I should expect some good news within the next week or 2. 2 days later, I received an official acceptance letter posted on the application portal.

Prospective PI emailed to (unofficially) inform me of my offer of admission!
