Received an email stating I am waitlisted. 0A/1R/3W

Was originally waitlisted but got an email from the graduate board stating my rejection. 2R/ 0A/ 2W

No GRE, 3.72 undergrad GPA in unrelated subject (class of 2020), 1 official literary publication, volunteer reader for a lit mag. 3r/1a/1p From Rejection notification on status portal: "Please know that the decision is the reflection of a very competitive applicant pool, and we are confident you have the tools to succeed wherever you decide to enroll. We wish you all the best in your studies and beyond." I've heard from other programs that they had an unusually competitive year, even given the extremely selective nature of fiction MFAs.

This was for NWP.

Email to check portal. Sad. 0a/1w/5r/4p

Accepted at 9 low-res programs and picked this one.

1 of 2 waitlisted applicants to Digital/Cross-Disciplinary... who is the other?!

"I am writing to let you know that you are on the waitlist for admission to our MFA program. We had an extraordinary number of applications this cycle, and admissions decisions were very difficult. We are a small program, and we offer only eight spots total (which are fully funded) across three genres. Obviously, we were very impressed with your application." 0a/3w/5r/2p

The amount of rejection I have faced this cycle is biblical.

Emailed that there was an update on my portal

I didn't see any info about financial aid and whatnot yet, but I'm happy I got my first acceptance! 1a/1r/0w/4p

Very kind email from a faculty member, no word on funding
