Just curious to get people's opinions on MS in CS courses in univs. UIUC vs GaTech vs UT Austin vs UW Madison vs U Michigan vs UCSD? It would be really helpful. Thanks.

Anyone got an idea when EECS Meng will be released? Should be done this time last year...

TOEFL score: 115/120. I didn't receive any notifications by email, I just checked the website.

Has anyone applied to Ph.D. in Machine Learning (not ML track in Ph.D. in CS) program? If so, have you heard anything regarding an interview or otherwise?

8.13 GPA, Mumbai University, 330 GRE (169Q, 161A, 4AWA), 118 TOEFL, 5 low tier publications (2 papers, 3 chapters), 5 internships. Area: ML/CV.

TTPB: I applied in the NLP program. And no, I wasn't interviewed by anyone. I got funding for Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semester as GTA. The stipend is $23k. I am from one top 3 CSE undergraduate programs in Bangladesh. Research experience: 3 years, conference paper: 1.

TPPB: Would you please mind sharing your profiles, course/thesis based, timeline, and whether or not you were interviewed?

Accepted with RA. Already talked with professor

To the poster below; i am also waiting for a decision.

Contacted by POI. Field: security

My third reject. Sad.

Had an interview with POI in mid January. The interview went well but POI informed me half a month later that he decided not to take any student this year : ( Received the official rejection in March.

TTPB for the post just below that about pending documents. I really hope it is what you said, can really use an admit from my _ambitious_ list. I did not imagine waking up to this confusion (opposite timezone).

TTPB: Check the details of ML track PhD in tableau. The admission rate is around 7% which is very competitive. Counting in CS&CSE track, the PhD admission rate is around 20%. Be realistic.
