I received a request to take TEPAIC (an English proficiency test for teaching assitants at IU) scheduled on March 6. According to the email, no decision has been made yet.

Applied to PhD, accepted to Masters.

I would say you have a shot if you otherwise talked to a PI at some point through Skype/Zoom, but I feel like you would have still been invited to the virtual chat. Who knows. Hopefully we hear soon.

To the posters below : were you guys invited for the visit weekend / virtual visit ? What do you think one's chances are , if not invited to the visit, or virtual event. :( Wish every one luck. !!

To the poster saying "they will raise stipend before long", is it a part of your specific funding offer, or this increase is expected for 16,1 stipend for everyone?

I was told by one of the graduate directors that the decisions "should" go out this week, but it's probably not really up to them.

TTPB. I emailed the department asking for my status, and got a generic reply saying the decisions would be out by mid-April. I don't know if I should even be a minimum expectant on it though, coz they have already had their visit days ( both in the campus as well as virtual ) in the mid and end of February ( as learned from the Gradcafe posts earlier for Informatics F20).

In response to other applicant: There isn't much of a history of accepted applicants posting, but there is a slight pattern in acceptance-- they seem to come out in mid to late February, followed by rejections. I also called to try and check on the status and was told that the committee is meeting but they can't give me any more information at the time. If I don't hear from them by tomorrow, I'm going to assume it's a no.

Received no funding for the time being (short wait list for funding), probably because I'm coming straight from undergrad and my GRE was average. Excited about this one but definitely will not accept w/o funding

To previous poster, I got that same weird email! And no, I haven't heard anything yet. I've been watching this site like a hawk and wondering what's going on. It's good to know someone else is feeling the same frustration.

Got a random e-mail about licensure requirements on March 4th. Is this a good sign? Anyone heard from this department yet?
