How does UCSD's rolling basis admission works? Many candidates who applied on the last date for submitting application were given an accept in the first wave and many of those who applied earlier are getting admits in the later rounds? Anyone has any visibility on that?

Received an offer from Professor- Skype

Oversea applicant. UK ms 80/100. Interviewed at 02/12. With 1 top ML conferences +1 top journal first-author papers (and one more in submission). Might due to poor performance at interview.

non-CS undergrad from top 20 US college. 1 co-authored paper, interned at stanford computer science department as research assistant for 3 quarters, took 3 classes at stanford and got As in all of them.

To the UMass poster below - I have also applied to the MS/PhD program, yet to hear anything from the university. In fact, yours is the first post I can see who got some sort of decision. Getting rejected for PhD might suck, but congrats on the accept. Even with the extended timeline, I hope I get a decision next week.

ttpb, how many years have been in the company as a SDE to apply for HCP? Do you have all references from undergraduate?

HCP Program. Non-CS engineering undergrad, software engineer at the same company since then.

TOEFL: 115 From BITS Pilani. One International paper in Computer Vision (B tier Conference). Good LORs. Got update pending on 20th turned into accept today.

Two acceptances have been sent on Friday. Should we assume rejection for us others?

TTPB: Heard they are stringent wrt late LORs. Excerpt from their FAQs: Letters of recommendation should be received by December 4, 2019 (17:00 CST) for full consideration, however we will continue to accept letters throughout the evaluation process. Your application will still be considered with late or missing letters of recommendation. Late information won't be included in our initial ranking process but will be available to our review committee during their deliberations.

Pondering over why I didn't receive offer. The deadline for LOR submission was explicitly mentioned as 4 December. One of my prof. submitted it on 6 December. Did anyone with late LORs receive admit?

Accepted to the masters research based track! Didn't have the most competitive GRE score but had an internship experience at a big tech company.
