TTPB who is waiting for admission letter: You have to log in to your Alberta Gmail account, your admission letter is there. Also, your GSMS portal status will change in 2 weeks after the offer, and 2 weeks after that to reply to that offer.

Does anyone know if Austin will be releasing another batch of admits? From previous years, it seems they only had a single wave of accepts and rejects with the week.

Hey, I'm the last green guy who posted yesterday, my GARS says "admit" but I have not received any email and the FGSR is still under review. I guess I have to wait for the official letter. Anybody is familiar with this situation?

3.7 UGPA (top 30ish program in EE), 340 GRE and 4 years work experience (from intern to technical lead). No interview, test or anything. Not sure what I could have done better. Assuming reject. Field: AI/RL

I applied in November. Field: NLP. No POI contacted me, no interviews, no nothing. GARS says undecided. This definitely means a reject, right?

TPPB: oh wow. Were u interviewed by an ML prof or a software prof? In case of a soft. prof. were you also interviewed by Prof. Abram? I was also given a writing task along with the coding. Would you mind sharing your profile?

TTPB: what a coincidence. Software systems and engineering + ML. I was interviewed in mid Feb and then a (coding) task until end of Feb when I got the recommendation. So have been waiting for almost a month now.

TTPB: Software Systems. What about you? Also, when were you recommended and how long have you been waiting? It's been almost a month for me. The only thing I regret now is I should have submitted an SOP (they said it's not required for MS -- but seems other students have submitted it) and taken a GRE (optional).

TTPB: Yeah, sounds about right. What area have you applied for?

TPPB: Interviewed + tested then reco. by POI and still waiting for official acceptance. As per I know, it's unlikely but the admission committee can still reject if there are better candidates. And considering the wait, tbh, I think we have very slim chances.
