I was notified only today (March 24) of my rejection for the CS PhD (technically, MS/PhD) program. Did this happen to anyone else? I know a bunch of other people got their rejections 3 weeks ago, so I'm perplexed by this.

Received an email about the status updates in the portal. No scholarship. Submitted the application two weeks ago. Really shocked by their processing efficiency.

Be cautious of this school. I have several friends who went there and I know it fairly well. It seems like they deny PhD applicants in favor of admitting them into the MS program so that they can have you pay for the degree yourself (which is expensive af).

Did anyone hear anything new from gatech's admissions office? I saw the statistics is lower compared to previous years but I don't know if they are still accepting people. I hope if they reject me they don't drag it out..

To all those waiting, DO NOT give up hope yet. Everything is delayed due to COVID-19. One person posted that the final round of PhD offers was supposed to go out 1.5 weeks ago, and maybe they did (I don't know). I do know that NSERC results were also supposed to be out around that time and they are now delayed by THREE weeks. Please keep the faith. If in mid-April, nothing comes...then that will be a better time to guess whether you have been admitted or not. It is a difficult time for everyone at the unviersity, including the profs on the admissions committee! Let's wait and see...

Number 3...Have mailed them yesterday, they sent a reply saying keep checking your email and portal for any updates. Got the same reply a month back as well!

Thought I had a chance : ( At least I have a warm offer from Duke. I love Duke : ) No publication. 11-month research experience in two labs. One summer intern. Undergrad in a top 30 cs university in the US and double in cs and statistics.

MSCSE admit. First admit, really happy! 7.5/10 GPA from Tier I Indian university. GRE 331 (161+170). TOEFL 114. 2 yrs work ex. No research publications.

For the post below, did you mind letting us know which program you apply? mscs or cse?

5 yr of exp on wall street in trading/engineering. Prob will just interview at FB/AMZN and take job instead ;) oh well

9.24/10 GPA. CS Dual Degree from a top univ in India with research experience. Mail had an attachment with TA/RA info (not guaranteed, but quite possible to get) which can be used to waive tuition.
