~3 Years of Work Ex as a Data Scientist, 1 tier 1 conference publication, 1 journal publication, 1 patent, multiple DS projects. Rejected twice in two years, disappointed. Not sure what they are looking for.

Ignore WL. Emailed regarding application status, never got an reply. I think if people are on the waiting list, at least they supposed to send out notification about it like what other institutions did. Anyway I will go to another program.

Haven't heard back from the program either. It has been more than 3 months, I wonder whats taking them this long to decide.

Why is the university not giving rejections ? Just let us know we are rejected, or something. Why is the university delaying everything. it is almost the last week of april.Has someone contacted the department lately ?

Ignore WL: Anyone hear back from admissions yet? It's past mid-April where they said the delayed results would come out, and this is getting ridiculous.

TTPB: who got Accepted into University of British Columbia Data Science masters, could you please share your stats: GPA, GRE scores

TTPB: I am a Physics undergrad but I've taken 4 ML/DL classes, 3 of which were grad-level as well as DL specialization from deeplearning.ai and Intro to DS specialization from IBM on Coursera. My GPA when applying was 3.26 so I presume these classes/certs as well as my research/internship experience helped.

Was rejected for Spring 2021. Re-applied and got accepted.

Received an email to check portal. Already committed to another program so no that sad.

Recieved an email to check the status update. They reason of rejection was as follow: The competition was highly intense this year, and there were many highly qualified candidates. Our decision reflects only the extraordinary range of talents represented in our applicant pool, and it is not a judgment about your own abilities or potential.

TTPB: Congratulations. Mind sharing your stats? Were you a CS undergrad?

First choice and committed; waited a long time but it was worth it in the end

Ignore WL: Checking last 2 years posts, I did not see any acceptances after April 15th. Does it mean that there are only rejects from this point on? :O

Accepted off the waitlist, received notification of an admission decision and an email from the program director
