Email to check portal. I had one interview with a professor from ML department but didn't go that well.

Sad! :(

This is such a bummer! Got an other UC. But sucks to know I won't be going to UCLA.. congrats to all the admits!

GARS changed to Admit. Anyone know how long it'll take for the admit letter/funding information to be mailed?

Will be rejecting the offer. Good luck to others.

I don't know why I got rejected. Applied in the HCI track. I have better offers though.

(this is the person accepted to HCP and worked as a SWE after graduation) Over 1 year at company when I applied, will be over 2 years when program starts. 2 references from undergrad, 1 reference from current manager.

Emailed them after seeing the first batch of rejects here. They said I was rejected and they only accepted about 10% of applicants

TTPB: Yeah it seems Berkeley didn't send out many admits this season. I know someone that got it but from this forum, there barely seems to be anyone. There's only 5 total so far. Either today I think they'll send more admits (unlikely since that never happened in the past) or it will be the rejects (historically, all rejects come 1 week after admits so that would be today).

Go Bucks!

First admit, so the application season wasn't an entire waste. :) Graduated from IIT Kanpur, >2.5 years experience as an MLE at a top American MNC. Was really beginning to feel that I had applied to places way out of my league, mainly due to a moderate GPA.

Recommended to department. Top 15 US undergrad, 3.7 gpa, 336 GRE, 2 years of relevant work exp. at a good tech company.

Interviewed on 3/10. 9.24/10 GPA. CS Dual Degree from a top univ in India with research experience. One year work exp at a hedge fund as a software dev.

Got a mail stating that I'm recommended and would soon receive a formal notification.

Finally, I got it!! I had two interviews in February and March and got oral admission on March 10. Sent several emails to hurry up the final decision.
