Got offered M.Eng instead

Has anyone been accepted who does not plan on taking the offer? Been waiting to hear back for 3 months now, seems like the first wave of acceptances went out in late January. Looking for any bit of hope that there are still available spots and that I may hear back soon.

Interviewed with a faculty member 1/19. Offer extended by chair of PhD committee 1/25. Official email 1/30

I was interviewed the week before I was accepted. I was surprised to hear back so soon! I have 2.5 years of experience, 1 REU experience, and 1 second author publication.

Received email saying to check portal for admission decision. Interviewed with a professor around a month ago, who informally let me know I would be accepted a couple weeks before the official notification.

Does anyone know how many ppl were selected to interview?
