Anyone got waitlisted? Do you guys know the chances of being popped out from the list?

Received an email stating that decision will be delayed this year due to Covid-19. The email also mentioned that if you haven't received a decision yet, you are still under consideration.

"Our decisions are sent to the graduate school and then they send out emails to applicants. With everyone working remotely there will be a delay. Is anyone still waiting for the decision from UBC? No interviews and no notification yet. Not sure whether I still have a chance.

TTPB: About MCS admits, I don't know for sure. Going by the admit posts here

Computer vision plus deep learning field. Decent GPA plus strong research experience and letters. One paper under review at a top conference, several manuscripts.

Status updated to 'Update pending' on SPIRE on 28th, got an email on 29th and status changed to Denied today. :(

surprised since i thought they already sent out all admits

I haven't gotten a rejection yet, but I also haven't heard anything. Not sure if this means a waitlist or what. God I hate this waiting game, just put me out of my misery already.

First (and likely only) admission of the season, but still pretty happy

TTPB: I haven't heard from Cornell yet. I applied for Cornell's one-year MEng program. It's not a very interesting program from what I know. But Cornell does have a decent CS department. So I suppose it would take me some time to make a decision. But first, let's wait till the result from Cornell comes out.

Undergrad from an IIT in Electrical, 2 international publications at respectable international ML/AI venues, great test scores and GPA. This was unexpected because I saw worse profiles getting accepted. I was planning to accept this offer but now I'll probably go with UCSD or Columbia. Still waiting on GaTech (CSE) and UIUC though.

Undergrad: CS & Math at a top 30 US university. Complete undergrad in 3 years. One summer internship. Two years of research at a university lab. One research paper.

TTPB: Did you guys recieve an interview invite for the MS program? If so, at what date?
