Email from a professor I mentioned in my SOP and who served on the committee. No official offer yet. CP subfield.

Email to check portal update. No GRE. Plasma physics subfield. Also got into the MIT Nuclear Science & Engineering PhD program. Had an interview for NSE but none for Physics. 4 years of irrelevant high school/undergrad research experience + 0.5 years of relevant experience. No pubs.

4 academic papers: 3 first author, 1 co-author. Central bank internship, several prize nominations, bachelors + masters Cum Laude
