Folks planning to decline offers here and elsewhere: Do so ASAP. If you wait until the last day to decline, the school likely will not be able to offer that spot to someone on their waitlist (even if your decline then triggers room to do so) due to administrative deadlines. If you decline sooner, you are the school enough time to turn to their waitlist, and you're giving someone else a shot!

They decided that my background does not fit.

Accepted off the waiting list and I couldn't be happier.

BA in Psychology - Anthropology, 1 Peer-Reviewed Journal Article, editor for the journal the next year, freelanced as an academic writer and editor, and have 5 Non Peer-Reviewed Online Publications, no other relevant experience (did social service, college festivals and content writing internships)
