Got admitted by rank 5 ish biostat phd program but got rejected by this..... for a 2nd time! Just skimmed through their PhD students' files and found that all of them had BS or MS from U IOWA, literally! TBH I never heard any U IOWA admission reports from my friends or public forums. It is a mysterious program and it is justifiable to think that they only favor own students and they wanna cheat money from SOPHAS. Sigh. I never get mad any programs regardless of the resutls but this! Final comments: RNM tuiqian!

An easy interview for about 10 mins. Will have the second round of interviews for top candidates after further selection, so this means you might still be rejected even you have been interviewed.

Email invitation for the interview with the director

Email to check the applicant portal. Not surprised since I did not get the interview.

email to check portal :(

Got an email from director asking me to schedule a time slot for interview, but will only eventually accept 4 PhD and 4 MS, so don't have high hopes.

Sounds abt right

I don't understand why these schools don't like good students. They shouldn't open an application on SOPHAS to cheat my money. They just need a system for their own students.

Not the best choice for me anyway

"Decisions about financial support are made through a separate process. If selected for such support you will receive an offer directly from the program providing the funding."

For those who also had an interview, did you hear anything back from USC?
