Got an email with an attached PDF of a fairly generic letter informing me that I had not been accepted.

Didn't get any email for interview. A straight forward generic rejection letter not mentioning any specific cause.

I have an international address, so Pitt sent an email with a letter in the mail. If you haven't heard from Pitt at all, you'll probably get a rejection via post soon (at least for poetry).

Poor GRE but excellent fit for program.

Email offer for fellowship with no teaching responsibilities in the first year and generous stipend. Also received a warm voice mail from one of the professors I interviewed with congratulating me on the acceptance.

Got my letter today. Not sure why they bother to send rejections in the mail...

Emailed them about 2 weeks ago because their website hadn’t updated my status. The point of contact replied last week. Apparently other applicants had the same issue. Oh well.

email Jan 29, interview first week of feb, waitlist notification today via email

Sadly, the snail mail came in today.

I guess UPitt used my application fee to mail me my rejection...ouch

sending letters in the mail is a psycho way to reject people lol
