With Full Funding!!!!

Anybody heard back from the program? I was on the waitlist and I supposed to hear back from the program on Abril 11, but nothing yet

Got an e-mail to check the website. I was supposedly on the waitlist and was about to here about the final decision after 15th, comes as a huge shock.

Please decline your offer asap if you have better options. I really want to go there. (Gre subject is my Swiss grad GPA over 6.)

Assumed this was a rejection considering it's April and other acceptances have already gone out. Oh well - I already accepted my #1 choice - congrats to all who have been admitted here!

Received an offer of funding (which I was previously WL for)!

Socio. American but highest degree from outside the US.

Re: BA degrees in Linguistics and French; worked in my university's phon lab for three years; senior thesis; presented at a conference. Chose general because I don't have interests in Applied or Socio, and didn't think I had enough work/experience with it to apply for Theoretical; accepted one of two (potentially three, but chose not to wait) other funded offers

To the person below in General Linguistics: Would u mind sharing ur background? why did u choose general? I applied and got rejected. I wanted to pursue linguistics and cognitive neuroscience of language. If u reject, do u have another offer?

I was admitted to the program February 8, and visited February 27th. I was told during my visit that funding decisions would be made soon, and I would know if I was offered one of 8 funding packages (out of over 20 admitted students) in the next week or so. I was not notified about my funding until 5 weeks after my visit instead of 1-2. Did not receive a package, and will not be attending.

Accepted with 1/3 funding via a Merit-Based scholarship. Beyond that, it would be financed with loans. Fantastic program, but very expensive. Best of luck to the rest of you!

No sure if I will enroll, Major concerns about the program.
