To the poster below. I agree, Austin sucks big time. Did you mail their department. I mailed them couple of days back to discover that I was put in the waitlist of MSc (got rejected from PhD though)!! But I think they should have let us know about it or at least update their website! E-Mail the department now!

AUSTIN SUCKS!!! UT is the only school that I haven't heard from. I think they are completely out of mind. What's wrong with UT? I want to get my app fee back. Anyways, I got accepted to a way better one than UT about a month ago. That makes the difference between the two schools.

Is there anyone who is waiting a result from TAMU? I know they have already sent acceptance and rejection e-mails; but in my case, I didn't receive any. Am I waitlisted? Is there anyone who knows about this? Thank you...

It's unlikely people will want to decline Austin's offer but still is there anyone not planning to enroll in Austin? Please let the department know; gives us some chances.

Received an email telling to check the status on line, then a reject message in the status page.

I request those who've got admit for MS in CS but going elsewhere, to kindly inform the department by mailing [email protected] ASAP. Your gesture would enormously help those of us, who are yet to hear our decisions.

Apparently, applicants don't merit a simple email. State schools....

FUCK AUSTIN! Silent for 3.5 months! SUCH irresponsible attitude from a top-10 school!

Called up Austin. They said some offers have been made and around 30 files are yet to be finalized. I would request all those who have admits from Austin and dont plan to join to let them know of this. So that they can offer more admits.

Continued from my previous post: Do they maintain a waitlist? I know of some ppl having got admits in UT Austin going for other places.

Those who have not been informed yet of their decision yet, should we assume that it is a reject? I have already seen many posting their admits here.

I called up CS dept abt decision and they said all the decisions have been taken. Its just that the person who was updating the website is sick. She will be back on monday so we will get our results only then.

Of course they cannot condescend to give a lowly master's student any aid whatsoever. I'll be darned if I'm going to plunge into a fiery pit of debt just for them (or GaTech, for that matter). Top 10 or no top 10. I've got a nice cushy TAship at #19. See you goofs later.

To the posters who's got into TAMU CS Masters program: was the status on the web sites changed? I did not receive any thing from them and my status still says pending. I am so sad :(
