Notified by email (subject line "Admission to Rutgers's University"??????????) but invited to apply to the UNMA program.

Asked the PP for the update

Well I don't know where this is going. I thought I was a good fit, and maybe I am learning what a fit actually means. I don't know. It's the 5th rejection I received with no acceptance (0a/5r/0w/6p and will apply to more programs). The thing is I cannot even get upset about it because the world's situation is getting even worse each day. Good luck everyone and congratulations to those received an admission. Stay safe

Rejected via email, but recommended to apply for the MA program

Canadian domestic applicant. Initial contact was from Graduate Program Advisor/Prof, who called on Thurs. March 12, 2026 to let me know that they would be offering me program acceptance, and in his words "minimal funding". The offer letter from the Program came by email on Friday, March 13th, and I was told the Faculty Dean's office would be sending a formal offer with funding within a week. Email with the formal offer arrived on Tuesday, March 17th. ~33K of funding offered over 2 years, including a TA ship.

No published work, 1 patent, BS (GPA: 3.75) and MS(GPA: 3.94) both in EE from top 7 US school, 1 year of research work at National Labs, 5 internship and 6 months of full-time job at Big Tech Company.
