Received an interview from a senior phd student.

Received an email on 1/19 that there was an update on my application in the portal. Website said that I had been accepted. Then received a real "acceptance" email the following week on 1/22 that stated I had been accepted into the residential program and gave me the next steps.

I only have around 1.5 years of undergraduate research experience and but have received an undergraduate research grant. Received an email telling me to check the application portal where the rejection notification was posted. Mentioned there was a very strong application pool with 245 applicants.

reached out by POI through email and did an interview today(1/23). I thought UW didn't do interviews so was surprised but the professors were very nice.
