To Ed PhD poster below - yep I received official e-mail of admission about 10 days after initially being GAOed. Submitted app on 4 Dec, interview 14 Jan, GAOed 5 Feb, email with conditional offer 15 Feb. I'm sure your conditional offer is coming soon!

Has anybody received a formal acceptance notification after being forwarded to GAO?

I'm the MPhil In Theoretical and Applied Linguistics guy. Yeah I had a 10-min interview three weeks ago. I will be getting my bachelor from an English speaking country so I didn't submit TOEFL/IELTS.s

Applied Jan. 4th, application portal changed to "unsuccessful" on Feb. 18th. Never invited to formal interview, but had informal interview with the potential supervisor, who agreed to supervise me within a different program at same university. Good luck to everyone else who applied!

To the PhD Philosophy poster below: I'm still on GAO. They said it might take up to ten days, so I'm expecting to receive my formal offer sometime this week. Have you heard anything?

Conditional offer

Currently in my final year studying English at another university in the UK. Disappointed but not surprised - my research proposal wasn't my best work.

So I applied to get my PhD in neuroscience, specifically at the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit, but so far, I haven't seen a single update from anyone posting about neuroscience. I had an interview on Jan 24, but haven't heard anything since. I was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat?

To the post of MPhil In Theoretical And Applied Linguistics below, did you get any interview? How long is the interview? And, do you have a IELTS/TOEFL score? Thanks!

Submitted: Dec 5, Department Review: Dec 8, Interview: Jan 28, GAO: Feb 4 Indian applicant, this is a dream come true but can't accept without at least partial funding.

Best Valentine's Day ever!!! Accepted to my dream school, and top choice program. Terrific fit with the supervisor and the department, I submitted my application in the first week of December (before the funding deadline) and was interviewed by my supervisor and another faculty member on 23 January. My application was referred to the Graduate Admissions Office on 7 February. I received an official email of acceptance from my department today. Now awaiting a formal offer letter from the GAO and information on funding and college. p.s. fingers crossed for funding as I am an international (Indian) applicant.
