To the poster asking for Princeton: I had posted the selection notification from MAE Princeton. I was interviewed by the fluid dynamics faculty on Jan2. I hope that helps.

Who else received acceptances yet? To the accepted one below, were you interviewed?

It was a long shot due to my sub-3.0 GPA, but I had hope because I had good GREs. Enjoy the $120, UCLA.

Invitation to PhD Applicant Visit Day

PI scheduled phone interview.

3 LoR (2 strong from academia, 1 from volunteering experiences), 1 internship, 2 undergraduate research experiences, no papers, OK SoP, mentioned professors (robotics) and plans to continue PhD. Good luck to everyone who got accepted!

3 good LoR. A lot of work put into the SoP, good internship in aerospace industry and a year-long project at university. But average GPA 3rd year of university wasn't exceptional, although 4th year very good GPA. My #1 choice, for sure it is disappointing

Significant and relevant research experience. SoP was good and strong-ish LoRs. Intended to continue for PhD. But, not so stellar GPA and lack of publications were probably the deciding factor. (My #1 choice. Very depressing that I wasn't even on a wait-list.)

Two-semester research experience. Low GRE score probably affected.

5 internships, involved in 2 research labs, 3 outstanding rec letters, no publications, SOP probably not the best

Have three research projects, 2 LOR from research advisors, and 1 from a volunteer coordinator, 2 international internships, and leadership (astronomy, international, and engineering), and various competitive awards. This is my undergrad institution as well, so it probably helped. They are giving me a 15 day deadline to accept though, which seems strange...
