To the MSAI accept below, did you receive a waitlist notification before?

I'm waiting for a decision. My future professor informally let me know almost acceptance in a few weeks ago, but Quest doesn't still show the result. I feel a little bit nervous about the final decision (and school life) in this pandemic situation.

TTPB: Wait what? Your AppStatus page changed or did you get an email notification? BTW, what are your stats? Weird that this is happening. Are people withdrawing because of COVID?

Still haven't heard about the Uc Berkeley M.Eng admission. Is there anyone else riding in the same boat?

Got a rejection email last week. Today got an email that the application was re-reviewed and I have been put on the waitlist.

TTPB: I received notification too. what are your profiles? I have decent GPA; a couple of papers at okayish places and graduated from a top college with 1 year work ex. and decent research experience as well. Rejection is gonna hit hard given my profile is not different, if not better than other people they have accepted.

TTPB who got rejected after asking multiple times: As long as you were polite, I don't think they rejected you because you asked. They had probably already decided and because you asked so many times they might have given in and sent you your decision before sending out the other rejections. If anything, you can move on and accept something else.

After around 24 hours of changing status on spire portal, finally, I received a mail saying: here has been a change to your application status at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. To review the details of this change, log in to our student information system (SPIRE). A formal letter regarding this change will be made available in SPIRE in 1-2 business days. I hope it's not mass reject.

TTPB: Sorry for what happened to you. Did you receive any information on when other admits will be out? :) Thanks in advance
