TTPB: Don't be sad about your rejections. The college admissions process is very strange and certainly can appear not fair at times. Just improve on areas you see as needing improvement. All hope is not lost. Imagine if next year you get into UCSD or better programs, so just have some patience and cheer up ! :) My first admissions cycle I got declines from everywhere(14).

TTPB: Please don't be so heartbroken. You can always try again by improving certain aspects in your SOP and doing some relevant internships. This season has anyway been impacted by Covid and most of sessions will get delayed.

Ttpb: That sounds really strange. Why they dont even interview/reject/accept strong candidates for 2 months? POI said me that he is happy to work with me, but I am waitlisted. It is the best shot I have, so I am waiting.

Heartbroken! This was my only hope left. 8/8 rejects. What should I do now! Going to hang myself today :'(

TTPB: Life is short and yes, we can be judged by an admission decision. Moreover, there was only one accepted in the mass-rejects last time, and he/she was a PhD reject who got into masters. That means there is no hope. It is a mass reject.

Your application and credentials have been reviewed by the academic program to which you applied. They are not able to offer you admission to the Graduate School. The University typically receives many more applications from qualified applicants than there are spaces available.

I know there were a few admission last year at the time of mass rejection. So it is too early to predict our decisions. Don't expect, and don't give up hope too. Go to sleep, we will see it tommorrow. Life is long, no one can be defined by an admission decision.

Status denied on spire.

TTPB: I submitted my application on January 12th and gave my interview on 10th March. My portal still shows 'Complete and submitted. You can still update any section'. Really don't know why they are taking so long to intimate decisions. Do I have any chance or is it a definite reject ?

TTPB: Bro, no offence but your GRE is really a no-go. Now I'm confident that I'm gonna be rejected

Got E-mail for status update yesterday, today status changed to denied

Applied for MS/PhD, a reject was long time coming. If it's true that they only consider their "strongest" PhD candidates for MS, like someone mentioned they got a mail stating the same yesterday, they should mention as such on their website. My whole application was based on the promise that my application will be properly evaluated for MS; that certainly didn't happen. This is conning of the highest level if you are going to be spreading misinformation about how your application process works. Their website seems to suggest that as long as you submit your GRE scores, your application will be given a good look for MS.

Application status changed to 'denied'

TTPB: Looking at your GRE score, i definitely think we are all going to get mass rejected. We're done now.

The deadline for many of my schools including Berkeley is in 5 days and still no news from Berkeley??? Has anyone heard back from them? Thanks

Those who have been accepted, could you please post if the portal has been updated?

TTPB: Why should I(or anyone else in the matter) thank your friend? It's not like he "gave up" MCDS. Who wouldn't choose Stanford over any other program? Never belonged here.
