I feel that Sociology may be somewhat closed off to individuals with diverse educational backgrounds. Despite being accepted into other equally competitive programs in both the previous and current admissions cycles, I have yet to receive even a waitlist offer from any Sociology program.

Sent an email to Renea to inquire about the Status of my application. A professor named Ashish replied back that i have not been shortlisted for further consideration and it was somehow a rude tone as he just said my name and mentioned that i am not shortlisted. Not really sure what really triggered this attitude.

Ignore status- any one hear anything from U Iowa? There was at least one interview last week but nothing since.

I didn't even know there was a interview for this school but we shall see how it goes!

I interviewed with them on the 15th of February. The graduate chair emailed me an unofficial offer.
