I never received any response from NYU, which I found very odd because I was interviewed last year. I did not even receive notification of a result or a rejection letter. I found this to be very mysterious and unprofessional. I have already been accepted to another top school but I was just curious if anyone else encountered this?

Just declined my fully-funded offers from those schools. I hope the best for waitlisted students!

Emailed the admisions committe inquiring about my app status. They replied very soon with the next info: " We are in the process of reviewing applications. Due to the large number of applications the program receives, it takes some time to review each file to make a final decision. We understand that you may have deadlines fast approaching and are eager to receive your decision from NYU; however, we will be unable to guarantee a date on when you will receive that decision. Regrettably, we are not able to disclose admission information on individual applications at the Department level. Once a decision has been made, you will notified by the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences"

I am on the waitlist from these schools. I have no any offer now. These are my last options that can give a chance to be admitted. Please decline soon if you are not planning to attend any of the schools. Thanks!!!

In the letter they said wait list movement is from mid-May until September. Average GRE score in Quant, Above Average in Verbal and the Essays. 3.87 GPA from a city college, degree with a major/minor. Not my first choice of schools but elated nonetheless, got wait listed at Columbia SIPA and Johns Hopkins SAIS. Currently waiting for my decision to NYU GSAS for a Masters in International Relations/Russian Studies(which apart from Columbia is my preferable choice, so crossing my fingers!), as well as GWU Elliott. No matter what, bearing perhaps getting a job in DC in which case I would attend GWU(or perhaps Johns Hopkins if a spot opens up), you will see me at NYU this Fall.

Got an email to check the website. I presumed I didn't get in, but they just notified me formally now. There were over 1k applications for 20 spots, in case anyone's interested.
