I had an interview last week around 1/12 by the Professor I would like to work with. Today, I got sort of an unofficial offer as that professor congratulated me on being formally recommended to the admissions committee for admission. (No specific offer letter yet, but i think its pretty much an acceptance). Didnt take GRE btw. 1 publication where I was 5th author | ||||

Reached out to PI EM for an update, got this email back: The admissions committee has made initial interview offers. We had an extremely deep pool, and there were many, many highly qualified applicants who weren't offered an initial interview. I'm very sorry this is not the news you wanted to hear. Dr. Borelli, who is leading the interview day, will be contacting people who didn't receive an initial interview invitation sometime in the next several weeks. | ||||
