figured, no biggie

Can anyone help me to see where did I go wrong in the application, 9r, 0a, master GPA is also 4.0, 3 RL from distinguished or chair professors.

GPA shown is undergraduate GPA. MSW GPA is 3.9. Received generic rejection email from the director of the PhD program. Have publications and clinical licensure. Really disappointed I didn't even get an interview or waitlisted since BU was one of my top choices and I had one-on-one meetings in-person/via Zoom with the professors with whom I was looking to match.

Accepted after spending 2 days on the waitlist.

The professor who called me was SO overjoyed for me that I couldn't help but cry! Tough decision to make, now

The sweetest, most helpful interview, ever. I genuinely felt mentored and like this professor really wants to make sure I find the right fit.

It's a bit sad to be getting only rejections thus far, but I am confident that I'll end up where I need to be—even if that means having to wait until the next admissions cycle to get into a program. 0a/0w/5r/8p

Ignore WL. Does anyone on the WL receive the invitation to open day on March 31?

Dear Applicant [Yes, Applicant *skull*], Thank you for applying to the Creative Writing Program at Boston University and for your patience during the admissions process. I am sorry to say that we will not be able to offer you a space in next year's class. You will receive a formal notice from the graduate school in the days to come. Our MFA program received hundreds of applications for the eight openings in poetry and ten in fiction for the 2023-2024 academic year, making our decisions very difficult. Unfortunately, due to the number of applications received, we will not be able to provide individual feedback to applicants. We are aware that the selection process is far from perfect, though we try our best to be fair. This result should not be discouraging. You should know that sometimes applicants have been accepted on the second, or even the third, try—and flourished. Certainly, we wish you the best of luck, and continued work, with your writing. This one hurts. I hope I get off of that other waitlist *cries* 0a/1w/4r/3p

IGNORE STATUS: Have any applicants received an initial offer from TP?
