The prof reached out personally after I checked in. She mentioned the committee met today and they are only admitting 3 students total this year due to high volume/limited spots.. 1a/1w/4r

Sociology with WGSS. Did not submit GRE and explained my reasons for not having them. I have strong academic background, research experience and what I believe a strong application and research topic. it was a perfect fit in my opinion. absolutley distraught.

Finally. What took them so long for the rejection?

No previous Sociology experience. I was a decent fit, but I was not a great one. Already have some offers to work with, so not the most disappointing news.

ignore the status, I applied to the joint program of sociology and public policy, haven’t heard anything yet. I know sociology program already sent out offers and rejections, joint program of public policy and political science also sent out offers. Should I email them?
