Any news from the EECS ?

Contacted by a professor in my preferred research area who wanted to learn more about my background.

To the CS student who got admitted below, did you get email from the department? Is it official acceptance from MIT website or just email from you POI?

I want to know about MIT EECS admission procedure. Do I have to contact to the POI after getting an acceptance from the Admission Committee? I'm asking this because I can see some people got an acceptance from their POI in other departments, but I cannot see those who got acceptance mail from the POI in EECS.

MIT EECS rarely requests an interview. When they do, it's usually to see the personality of the candidate. Most students are admitted without an interview, so don't worry if you didn't got one.

Did anyone get interview requests from System/Networking/Architecture related fields?

Seems all the interviews yesterday and today are AI track. Interesting! And synchronous with Stanford CS interviews these two days, also AI track. Kind of like entanglement effect, isn't it?
