Mildly surprised--personally know some of the faculty and have been to Emory for two prior conferences. Of well, congrats to those who got in! And I have other offers anyway...

It wasn't a good fit anyway

Waitlisted after interview weekend. Loved the program, but I didn't make as strong an impression on faculty as I'd hoped. Fingers are still crossed, though.

invited for visitation weekend (2/4-6) to decide on admission later

previously waitlisted then rejected...waitlists are worse than rejections sometimes since it gives hope and makes the torture lasts longer...

Wait-listed; I see that they finally found their cohort. Good thing I accepted a better choice instead of waiting for this rejection

I contacted the department and they told me I've been wait-listed. PLEASE, if you know you are not going to Emory, let them know! This is my first choice. Thanks!

Same situation as below

(To the poster below) I emailed the dept and they replied and told me that I was on the wait-list. They have to hear back from the first round of acceptances before they can know about a 2nd round of offers. So I know I'm on the wait-list - maybe you could assume the same about yourself?

Does anyone heard from them? I know some admits and rejections at the beginning of February but for my side no news at all.
