Pretty straightforward rejection. Expected though. Waited for a long time to hear back

CP. Really good fit with faculty, but will decide after waitlist results are finalized. 1a/2w/12r

AP subfield

CP, Umich Ug, thesis award, top 15 journal's R&R, email to check portal. Expected it, since we never admit our own ug student in their graduating cycle.

Fit was not the best, resources limited, I guess. 1R/6P

Three waitlist and zero acceptance so far... Please let me or department know if you decide not to go into this program. Thank you.

0A/3W/5R/5P This is my top choice, if you got accepted and are not planning on going let them know asap!!!!!

"The Graduate Studies Committee in the Department of Political Science at Michigan State University has completed its review of your application to our PhD program. Although your record reveals many excellent accomplishments, the Committee has decided that we cannot offer you admission to our program. We received 120 applications for the PhD program this round, but we can only accommodate a cohort of 6 students. As such, many well-qualified files could not be accepted. We appreciate your interest in our PhD program, and we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors."

Double rejection yesterday lol. Thought I might have a shot with a strong fit but whatever, I have offers I'm happy with. 6a/2w/4r/2p

Unfortunate. It was my best/only fit for mastering the one subregion of my very niche area studies research that I couldn't get extremely competent in during previous education.
