Domestic student. 4.0GPA, with 3 great recommendation letters from well known professors in my field. 2 years of part-time research. 1 year of full-time research. 1 conference presentation, and 3 first author publications.

Since the department encourage international students to apply on the early deadline, I applied for this gradute program in January. By March I was notified by email whether I wish to consider as a waitlisted candidate. For that from my end I said yes and they said they won't be able to confirm my acceptance to the program until late July. However, I was contacted by email on April 27th with the notification of my acceptance to the program and three days after I received official acceptance letter. By May 12th I was able to secure a sponsor which is required for international graduate students

Lots of ECs, mostly leadership and student activity, also 3 years of research (volunteering, paid, and course projects like a 3rd year practicum and a 4th year thesis). No pubs, reference letters must have been decent i suppose.

The status was changed to "Decision made" but they haven't sent an email explaining whether it's a reject.
