Received email from faculty member to set up interview

Generic rejection, the odds were not in my favor. No research experience or publications. Currently employed full time as a statistician - might pursue a masters degree instead. Congrats to all who've been waitlisted and/or accepted!

Indian with a Bachelors in Statistics and currently pursuing Masters in Statistics. One pre-print in theoretical statistics.

Presumably, I have been waitlisted since I received neither the acceptance nor rejection email. I would appreciate the early withdrawal from those who already decided to go to another Ph.D. program. This is my top choice though I have another great option (top 10 in the US). Hopefully, if I get admission from UPenn, I will decline my current offer shortly as well for those on the waitlist for this school. Thank you so much!

I was never officially told I was on the waitlist, but presumably they have an unpublished waitlist
