Emailed letter, portal changed from "Under Review" to showing no status at all (so, future applicants may want to keep that in mind: if the portal says nothing, check your junk email). Two people I know got acceptances via email about 24 hours prior - during that time mine still said "under review." GPA is MA. Had not cultivated a contact at UO, and the profs with matching research aren't available next year. 1A/10R/1P (pending is a different field).

Email said I was competitive but not enough room. 70 applicants for 10 spots.

Told application was competitive but just could not accept me at this time. Highly surprised and disappointed.
