informal offer 13.02, formal conditional offer 1.03, waiting to hear about funding. double major with CS+Math, 1 very good 1 good references, 3internships during undergrad, variety of research experience on very different topics (cv, nlp, math)

Machine Learning track. Ranked 4th in my bachelor's program, two strong letters of recommendation, decent motivation statement (though always cringe retrospectively), two years of work experience, (not sure if it matters that much but) strong extracurricular activities and leadership roles. Came from a top 100-150 European university, and really thought the interview did not go too well; still a bit in shock but happy that it has (so far) worked out! :)

Coming from École polytechnique, France

CV and Robotics track; Top grades from a prestigious university in China; Two trong recommendation letters, one from ETH Zurich professor; the other an IEEE fellow as well as a member of Academia Europaea; Interviewed by Dr. Ignas Budvytis; All questions during interview were technical and trick; Currently don't find anyone interviewed by Ignas get the offer, know around 5 students applying for CV and Robotics track got the offer but they were all interviewed by Prof. Fumiya Iida. Super sad and depressed about this result cause I also put in a lot of time to apply for the Gates Cambridge scholarship and also requested a strong recommendation letter from a UN official to support my scholarship application. Now all that effort was for naught. Fuck you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Track: CV & Robotics. Got an informal offer via the programme administrator, awaiting approval by PAO.

Contacted the department by email and found out that I hadn't been recommended for admission. They also said that the official status can take a few weeks to change. From one of the top unis in Europe, excellent grades and some research experience.
