Rejected from Institute of Fine Arts History of Art and Archaeology PhD program, offered admission to MA.

Ridiculously late

frustrated with the length of the cycle only to end up rejected, but best of luck to all accepted :)

With this my application for this season is officially completed. All rejections. Congratulations to those who have been selected. Good luck to those who are in waitlist and to those who will applying for next year

HEP-ex/HEP-ph PGRE: 740, did not submit BSc was top British uni, 55% (2:2) MSc was mid British uni, 71% (distinction) Only relevant experience is BSc and MSc project. No publications, talks, etc. Not sure how strong my LORs are. Email to check portal.

Got the waitlist at early March. If you have better offers, please please decline asap. This is my top choice.

Also posted that I got into UPenn MSW

Tandon MSCS $5k scholarships Courant MSCS without scholarships

Email to check portal. It took their LOVELY 120+ DAYS to release the final rejection outcome - no interview invitation, no waitlist notification, and they would never confirm whether your application is under waitlist consideration - only endless bureaucratic delay. You spent the most expensive $115 application fees (in humanities field) to experience NYU GSAS's notorious administrative dysfunction:) Bravo!

Expected, but I still resent them for the rejection.

They were absolutely the weirdest school when it came to communication. Up until early April, I hadn’t heard anything from them, and whenever I reached out, they kept saying they were still reviewing my application. I found their communication extremely inconsiderate. If they had already finalized their admitted cohort and waitlist, as I later learned from a reply on this platform, they should have just sent out the official rejections instead of leaving applicants hanging. Luckily, I was accepted into a great program, but it was still frustrating that their delay forced me to postpone my final decision. :(
