GPA not good enough I guess, despite 1 internship at European Space Agency ; 1 research internship at GeorgiaTech Aerospace + technote submitted for publication ; 1 International Hackathon won at TAMU ; President of Student Aerospace Club.

BSc (3.97/4.00) and MSc (3.94/4.00) in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Second MSc in Computer Science and Engineering, partially completed. Strong research experiences, worked on multiple projects, a total 13 publications spanning the areas of computational design and analysis, modeling and simulation etc. I thought I had an excellent SOP and PS, along with strong letters of recommendation. This was my third time applying to MIT and I still got rejected. Depressed and frustrated to this day!

Extremely competitive program, so every candidate that went through interview is already highly qualified. My stats: 3y BSc Econometrics & OR, highest GPA in my year, started tech consultancy company, 14 PT employees, >100K rev. Not that crazy on research papers (probably one of my weaknesses), granted full ride scholarship + stipend for any American college. Good luck for everyone next year!

Had an interview and tried to be as personable as possible. Asked fair and honest questions about what I wanted to do with my education and career and a little bit about experience and internships. Honestly, a dream come true and I couldn't be more grateful.

Rejected after email to check portal, no interview. (Architectural History, Theory and Criticism Program)

I got a 30 mins interview with them on 2.18. This was the first time they were interviewing MArch applicants. Sharing some questions they asked: 1. Introduce yourself & why architecture; 2. Why MIT; 3. Tell us a project in your portfolio that you are proud of; 4. any questions for us? (and some customized questions regarding your background) And... very short rejection letter lol. sad : (
